For Wedding Perfection, Union Trust Ballroom| Philadelphia Weddings

Perhaps the strongest thread in the historical fabric of Philadelphia is the Union Trust. Built in 1888 as The Union Trust Company Bank, it was an architectural masterpiece whose beauty has stood the test of time. Centrally located in the heart of the City of Brotherly Love, Union Trust has been carefully remodeled honoring its historic charm while blending modern upgrades to the four venues that any couple would appreciate.

To say that the Ballroom at the Ben is grand is entirely an understatement. Steeped in elegance from bygone eras, guests enter under a canopy of architectural wonder featuring sixty-five foot illuminated and engraved ceiling that stretches out above the curved, archway windows. Surrounding the room is a mezzanine that provides outstanding views of the space, as well as a fun spot for creating candid and portraits. Unique to this space is that couples can enjoy their first dance on the same floor that Bradley Cooper & Jennifer Lawrence did in “The Silver Linings Playbook.”

Modern up lighting warms the accented walls creating a stylish and regal tone for any wedding, which can be designed in various vibrant color tones to bring any couples vision to life. The space can be arranged for saying “I do,” or just dancing the night away on the floor where your initials reside.

The breathtaking balcony provides guests a distinctive experience as it can provide additional seating for dinner. I enjoy the vibrant colors of the Union Trust and the ability to mix ambient and studio lights to create stunning wedding portraiture. I’m especially fond of the grand staircase, stately yet situated under an artful, curved window. The windows provide an exclusive portrait opportunity for couples as they create majestic silhouettes only found at Union Trust.

I love the freedom that being in Old City provides my couples. Independence Hall is a fantastic backdrop for both candid and formals portraits. The cobblestone of the streets steeped in history just feels romantic, with a side of industrial whimsy.

In fact, there are numerous locations around the Union Trust, which I consider to be The Most Romantic Locations in the City of Brotherly Love. The ability for us to utilize any of these fantastic portrait locations provides couples with taking advantage of outstanding backgrounds available to them without any additional expense to their budget.

The sophistication of Union Trust is only matched by the ease of planning and holding a wedding there. The experienced, professional in-house staff have a passion for producing flawless events with special attention to the details which make your day personal. Guests will dine on fine cuisine prepared by Finley Catering, who are known for their exquisite menus, previously prepared for past presidents and many celebrities.

An ideal location for guests, the Union Trust is only a few blocks from the Liberty Bell Center, the historic Independence Hall, and Old City, where friends and family can stay with easy access to everything. The planning professionals at Union Trust are on hand from the first stages of planning right through to the last dance to ensure everyone has a fantastic experience.
