South Asian weddings are like a fairy tale. The groom looks like a prince from One Thousand and One night. He is wearing the embroidered dupion silk kurts churidan in gold. He has an embellished velvet turban in maroon on his head. I used the direct sun light from the window to create this dramatic portrait in the hotel room. I exposed for the highlights on his skin and it drew this stunning profile. The rest of the room remained dark and nothing distracts our attention from the groom's face. This technique is call chiaroscuro. Nikon D 750, 35 mm, f 5.6, 1/200 sec, ISO 200.
