Victoria+Anthony. Elopement at Boone Hall Plantation, Charleston.
South Carolina is a magical place where lots of people come for a vacation, destination weddings and elopements. It is the year round green, everything is so lush and stunning.
If you ever visit Charleston you should go to Boone Hall Plantation which is just 20 minutes drive (8 miles) from the city center.
It is a top wedding destination in the state and has been the host of many beautiful outdoor weddings.
Boone Hall Plantation is famous for its elegance and majestic views of the sweeping, manicured grounds and the famous charming oak alley. It is a remarkable location for wedding portraits at Charleston.
Victoria and Anthony decided to elope at this magical place. They fell in love with palm trees, the beautiful long alley of ancient living oaks full of Spanish moss.
You can start taking pictures at any time of the day and different light will create totally different vibe. There is breathtaking light even at 12 pm on a hot summer day.
These trees create a breathtaking natural frame around the couple. The midday sun was leaking through the branches and created the halo around couple’s heads. The iconic oak trees draped with Spanish moss provide a spectacular backdrop for capturing the special moments. This magical place seems to have come straight out of a fairy tale and newlyweds look nothing less than the prince and the princess in the enchanting forest.
For all the photos I used a telelens Nikon 70-200 mm because I wanted to use the compression which makes the trees on the background appear closer and larger than they actually are.
